A minimal Chrome extension that replaces your new tab with a distraction-free dashboard

Every new tab page is either too busy or too empty. I wanted something in between. A clean dashboard that gives me what I need without pulling me into a feed or a news cycle.

So I built Void.

What it does

  • Live clock with a time-aware greeting and date
  • URL bar for search or direct navigation (press / to focus)
  • Task manager with tasks persisted to localStorage
  • Browser tabs viewer to switch between open tabs with fuzzy search
  • Quick links with automatic favicon loading
  • Dark, light, and Notion-inspired themes
  • Settings panel to toggle each feature on or off
